The spine margin has been restored, the binding is tight and clean with the presentation stamp "hommage de l'auteur" of Arambourg and Joseph T. Gregory’s stamp below. Arambourg (1885-1969) was a French vertebrate paleontologist and paleoanthropologist. He is noted for his studies of fossil fish and fossil mammals. His studies in Iran led to his detailed descriptions of the fossil fish from the Oligocene of Iran.
