Bigot de Morogues (1776-1840), was a French geologist and agronomist. He studied chemistry and mineralogy with Vauguelin and Hauy at the Ecole des Mines de Paris.géologue, agronome et économiste fut élève de Vauquelin et Haüy. Bigot de Morogues had an interest in meteors and meteorites and their origins. His above memoir on meteorites contains the results of his studies on the subject of meteorites and their mineralogy. He provides a history of the study of meteorites and the hypothesis of their origin. At the end of the work he provides a catalogue by date of the meteorite falls and descriptions of the falls.
