Over all a very good copy of the complete Berghaus atlas.

Heinrich Berghaus (1797-1884) was a German geographer most famous for his cartographical work. His greatest achievement was the "Physikalischer Atlas". The atlas was first published in parts between 1838-1848 and was to be used in part in Humboldt's "Cosmos". The atlas was a monumental achievement and is considered the first comprehensive physical atlas of the world. The atlas was in constant demand and was to be reprinted several times but in parts. Thus complete copies of the atlas are rare.
