Tegoborski (1792-1857) was born in Warsaw and was a Russian economist and diplomat becoming a Consul General. He wrote on the influences of resources on countries. His book on the newly discovered gold fields in California and Australia addresses the question of what the production and importation of gold; primarily from California would have on the economies of Europe and Russia.
