The work is complete and in a modern archival folder. Binding is tight and clean, text is clean with light toning, plates very clean, small stamp on title page. Small punch holes on inner gutter margin from old binding wire. In very good condition.

A prominent German stratigrapher and paleontologist, Koken 1860-1912) is noted for his studies of the stratigraphy and paleontology of Germany and Austria and his studies of the paleontology of the Salt Range of Pakistan. His above study is on the vertebrate and invertebrate fossils from the Heiligenkreuz area of lower Austria and was published shortly after his death.
