Product Description

Miller, John; Report of the Committee for the Introduction of Wholesome Water into the City of Philadelphia. Zachariah Poulson, 106 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, 1801. Octavo, pp. 16.

This rare report is complete and in an archival sleeve. Very minor foxing to title. In very good condition.

Only 500 copies of this work were printed. The report contains a detailed breakout of the cost of bringing water from the Schuylkill River, to a reservoir, and distributing the water via tunnels and pipes throughout the city to businesses, residences and hydrants.
