The work is complete and in a modern white calf with gilt titles. The binding is tight and clean, light damp stain to very upper margin of first 15 pages. In very good condition.
Francesco de Vieri (1524-1591) held the chair in Platonic philosophy at the University of Pisa. He authored works in various subjects, including philosophy, physics, alchemy, and astronomy and is considered one of the leading figures in the introduction of classical physics. His above offered work is a commentary on books 1 through 3 of Aristotle’s Meteorological studies.
