The work is complete and in the original green cloth with gilt titles. The binding is tight, gilt titles bright. Light restoration to spine. X-lib, Cal. Tech, with blind stamp on title and book plate removed from paste down, light spine smudging, text and plates very clean. In very good condition.

Simpson provides a detailed and systematic description of the Mesozoic Mammalia in the British Museum. An important part of the work is a catalogue of publications and notes that Simpson referred to in his study.
